I have been wanting to take the kids to the local children's theater to see If You Give a Mouse a Cookie based on the book by the same name. When I investigated further, I found out the cheapest tickets were $12 each, so we decided to pass on it. Last week as I was email "chatting" with a friend from our old church, she mentioned that their homeschool co-op was going to see it this Friday. I asked if they had any tickets left over, so she inquired and said, yes, they had four left and they are $5 each! Whoo-hoo!

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
So Daddy took a couple hours off from work and we met him at his office and walked to the theater, just three blocks away. The theater puts on special performances for schools, and the place was about half full of rambunctious kids and way too few adults. The kids got a kick out of the play, though Mommy and Daddy were pretty disappointed. To quote my friend, the play was "so short, but oh so long." The props were really cute, but I'm glad we only paid $5 and that the kids enjoyed it. The Boxcar Children will be playing next spring, and I'm hoping it will be better and more true to the book. I'm looking into getting the cheap tickets for our local homeschool group.

How cool! I want to see the Boxcar Children one! LOL
So why don't you come up and see it with us?
Thanks for the invite, however, I checked the dates of when the play, and unfortunately it's not during a time in which Hannah is off track from school.
