I am always looking for simple rainy day projects for the kids because we have had no shortage of rainy days this year. Abby liked this project. She didn't actually build anything, but she pounded one golf tee after another into the foam for about 20 minutes (that's a long time for Abby!). After she was done pounding, she found a couple of the pieces of regular foam--not the plastic type--that was in the box and proceeded to crumble them into little tiny bits. That kept her busy for almost the rest of the hour! LOL. Once she started putting it into her mouth, I put an end to it and she and I got out the vacuum and cleaned up the mess while Ryan worked for another hour or so on his structure. It was a fun and inexpensive, hands-on activity that both kids enjoyed.
