After making our T-shirts, Abby and I spent the morning having some girl time while Ryan went to work with Daddy, then we picked our boys up and went out to lunch before heading over to a barbecue at some friends of ours that we used to know in Memphis.
Abby had only met our friend Cindy earlier this year at the zoo, but I knew she would love their youngest daughter. Sure enough Candace entertained both kids most of the day, and Abby really enjoyed herself running through the sprinklers, playing with every doll and stuffed animal in Candace's room (she is really an adult now and doesn't have too many), playing hide and seek, and putting on all the jewelry in the Pretty Princess game! Abby enjoyed the fireworks this year instead of being afraid of them! We bought some and then the neighbors put on quite a display for us as well.
