Does this look familiar? Same treatment room, same little girl, same wound, just a different shirt! It felt like a rerun of last night. Abby and I spent the evening at urgent care again. She somehow busted three of her stitches and had to get her chin sewn up again. There is a higher risk of infection this time around, but hopefully it will stayed sutured and heal up beautifully. She shed a few tears tonight as they gave her the local anesthetic, but she still lay still while they treated her. Now I'm praying the wound will not get infected and she won't have too big of a scar. On a positive note, the three stitches the doctor put in tonight were smaller than the ones last night. Also, we're getting to know the staff pretty well!
As a funny little aside: While I was paying the copay tonight, Abby was engaging in her favorite pastime, bouncing up and down. The counter was just at her chin height and I told her to stop before she smacked her chin on it. I laughed at her and told her to look at all the gray hairs she has given me. She laughed back and said, "I didn't give you those gray hairs. Jesus did!" The receptionist got a kick out of that!

Owwww! Julia has done the SAME thing...SIX TIMES!! It's her weak shoulder girdle...when she crawls her arms often give way and BAM! On the floor! (I might mention that we have hard wood and tile in all the lower floor of our home...a definite recipe for busted chins!)
All of Julia's owies have healed wonderfully well...we pray the same for Abby! It's no fun to be hurt, but she looks like a trooper!
(((HUGS)))!

I was thinking about you and Julia as we sat in the urgent care!!! I remember her last horrible episode where they couldn't even stitch it up. I'm so happy to hear it's all healed so well. Is there much of a scar?
