It's a little late, but Abby had her three-year checkup today. I called the week of her birthday to make the appointment, but our doctor was full for over six weeks! We really like our pediatrician. I have NEVER felt rushed, you can tell he loves children, and he is a Christian too.
Abby did great. I know I've said this before, but she is the BEST little patient. She just sits there and opens her mouth, turns her head or does whatever the doctor tells her to without any fussing or fretting. After watching Ryan scream the roof off the building getting his shot, she calmly gave her arm to the nurse, watched while they stuck the needle in, and smiled as she got her sparkly Band-aid! It makes me laugh that God gave us such entirely different children. He has a sense of humor, to be sure!
Abby is developing great, though mildly delayed in her motor skills (which we knew). She is in the 90th percentile in height and 80th in weight. Dr. Moshofsky gave us an idea to try in potty training, but he expressed his doubts about it working. He thinks that perhaps it is her motor delay that may be part of the problem. He told us not to fret, that there aren't many kindergartners still not potty trained, and he doesn't know a single high school graduate who isn't! LOL.
