Abby will be three next month, and she has never had her hair cut. She didn't come into this world with much hair (she was a tiny preemie), and it's taken a while to get a full head of hair. Much to my delight, just after she turned one, her straight hair began to curl! This is God's tender heart for me...I have ALWAYS wanted a little girl with curly hair. I thank God almost every time I stop to think about her beautiful curls. She may not always have curly hair, but I will enjoy it for as long as possible.
She's needed a trim for quite some time, but I've been afraid to touch those golden curls. I figured I'd either cut them all off or just do a botch job and feel terrible (it happened once with my son and I cried and cried). Today I felt brave. After a shower I combed it out as straight as possible and cut! I found out that it's so much easier to cut girls' hair than boys. What a relief. I even did a small bit of layering. I only cut off about an inch and a half, but it bounced up and curled so much it looks like I cut more. It looks just fine, and I'm happy I did it. I'm still deciding on bangs though. I think I'll keep it the way it is for now.

Looks great!!! Yeah, I would imagine cutting a girls hair is easier...you can hide the lines and "ooops".
