Are We Having Fun Yet?

To say that the kids were excited this morning would definitely be an understatement. Abby has been asking every day for almost two weeks about when we would be going to California, so it was a relief to finally say, "Today!" We dropped Daddy off at the airport, and then we headed south. It was a long day of driving, but both kids did so well! When we got to the California border, we stopped, took a couple of pictures and found a geocache hidden there. The kids got a big kick out of that!


Then we drove several more hours, arriving at our hotel an hour earlier than expected. We ate a little dinner and played in the pool for a while. Then I put the kids to bed. They were still pretty wound up, so I laid with each of them for about ten minutes, and that did the trick...they're both sleeping peacefully. I hope the novelty hasn't worn off tomorrow and they do as well as they did today.
