Saturday was a beautiful day and pretty clear and cloudless, so we decided to drive up to the Columbia Gorge and hike Larch Mountain. It is only a quarter of a mile hike, but the last eighth of a mile is stairs! Whew...I don't remember it being quite so steep the last time we hiked it. Abigail did great though, and the view from the top is fabulous. You can see five mountain peaks in the approximately 320 degree panorama. Abby immediately located Mt. Hood, which is only 22 miles away from where we were standing.
